Our daughter arrived seven weeks early. The nurses explained every step and made us feel part of the team.

From late-night questions to follow-up visits, they were always there. We could not ask for better care.

Answers to common questions from new parents
Q. What does a neonatologist do?
A neonatologist is a pediatrician with advanced training in caring for newborns, especially babies who arrive early, are born small or have a medical condition that needs close attention.
Q. When should my newborn see a specialist?
Your doctor may refer you if your baby was born premature, has trouble feeding or breathing, or shows signs such as jaundice or low weight gain. You are always welcome to call us for advice.
Q. What happens at the first appointment?
We review your pregnancy and birth history, examine your baby, answer your questions and agree on a clear care plan together. Most first visits take around 45 minutes.
Q. How do I reach the team in an emergency?
Our neonatal line is staffed day and night. For life-threatening emergencies, always call your local emergency number first.
Q. Can parents stay with their baby in the NICU?
Yes. We encourage parents to be with their baby as much as possible and offer comfortable family rooms, skin-to-skin time and support from our nursing staff.
